Jenna, Kevin, I guess you were right

I've been trying to narrow down something to write about this week.
Topic I decided on: Twilight - now on video!
Bill and I purchased and watched this a week ago. We're both sitting there going - "wow-was it really this awful the first time?" Before you get in a twist about that comment...I'm not saying it was a bad movie. I just....I mean....SHEESH...did everyone really look so constipated the first time I watched this (Jasper excepted because, Yes, he did)? Conversation nearly always punctuated by awkward pauses, lip biting, and unfinished sentences? Did you KNOW that they cut two of the scenes that portray Edward and Bella actually finishing their sentences and you know - teasing and enjoying each other?? Ugh! The end of the movie was enjoyable. Bill and I really didn't remember things being that bad the first time though...probably because we were so thrilled about getting out of the house together without baby - for the first time since we had moved to Georgia (1 month at the time) we were in the mindset of giddy awkward teenager-ness.
We haven't been out together without Miriam for five months now. So, when we do get out, if it's to a movie, and if it is totally awful - I won't even notice!!
By the way, if I could, I would go see Star Trek AND X-Men Origins: Wolverine BOTH TOMORROW. These are not allowed to be awful, only AWESOME. But again, would probably be so thrilled I wouldn't notice.
That all said I am still excited about New Moon.

Keep Moving Forward

I originally named my last blog entry 'keep moving forward' but had to make a change after yesterday evening happened to us.

Getting ready to go out to our friends for the evening, I decided to make a pie (we have lots of dehydrated apples). The recipe I got out of my "using your food storage" cookbook did not make enough to fill the pie shell. I had to rehydrate apples two more times to fill it up . . . so it took us a little while to actually leave. Once we entered Airway Heights our car is really making an awful sound and we realize that we have a flat tire. It was COLD last night and poor Bill was out there trying to get the tire off. Brrrrrrr. We bought a used tire to replace the old one today and are hoping to have a little more money when we need to replace them all this spring or summer.

Having just watched Meet the Robinsons you can't help but remember to 'Keep Moving Forward' through all of our misadventures and celebrate what you learn from your "failures"

I must say, the following is definitely not a failure.
