Things that went wrong:
My computer died. I was on the internet and it just turned off and has refused to turn on again (Hense this is not a picture post).
The kitchen light went out again. We changed that bulb not that long ago. And we were out of lightbulbs. It's not like our kitchens are by a window.
Teddy Grahams trail mix - there's only like 10 yogurt raisins in there! Whats up with that!
Things that are totally awesome:
Baby that uses her pincer grasp, tries to crawl but can't, and falls asleep for her morning nap BY HERSELF.
Husband that takes me to SCA dance practice - and is totally great when I have the time wrong and we are 1/2 hour early.
Somehow getting this apartment mostly clean before leaving for the weekend.

Graduation Nation
Bill finished school in April and got his degree in the mail the other day . . . we did graduation stuff all this last weekend (if you couldn't guess from previous post with the cake). We had a lot of fun with family and friends and continue to search for jobs. So thanks for all the previous well wishes - it's now all official!!

Huh
Remember my lost keys?
Well I am happy to report they turned up this week. Someone turned them into my manager I guess and what do you know? They were buried in a snowbank all winter long. Which is what we rather expected - but seeing as the snow has been gone for a while now I spent $5(ish) dollars creating a new set of keys in only the last month.
Now excuse me while I congratulate myself with a piece of cake. This cake

Totally honest
So this last weekend we went to the Tri-Cities for an SCA event. I didn't get to spend as much time there as I would like, but Bill was there Saturday afternoon and we were both there Sunday mid-day. He got to spend some time with the up and coming Baron and Baroness (who he really liked). I got to visit too, but what I wanted to write about this time was my conversation with one of their 5 (? 5ish) children.
Young Girl -Speaking of Miriam "She is cute!"
Maggie - "Thank you!"
Young Girl - "And she has big ears"
Maggie - "Just like her mommy see?" Maggie tugs on her apparently Dumbo-esque ears
Young Girl - "Oooohhh - her skin is so soft"
Maggie - "I know! Babies have the nicest skin don't they?"
Young Girl - "Especially on their bottoms."
Maggie, laughing - "That is true."
Children - bless them - are so completly straight forward.

Warning: Corny Star Trek Reference
Bill is getting ready for work and I tell him he has to sign something that says I can pick up his transcripts (ordered the day before).
Bill waves his hand and says "Make it so number one."
Maggie "Yeah . . . . . wait . . .what?" pauses "Ohhhhhh"
Later at the transcript office:
Maggie hands transcript lady signed "form"
Transcript lady (laughs) "This is just like my husband, I write it out and he signs it."
PS - how does SHE know that wasn't his handwriting? I mean, it wasn't, but just how did she KNOW that?
Reminising on our walk today: (Warning: birth details)
Maggie acting all girly: "So what did you think when our daughter was first born?"
Bill: "Well, yeap there's a face down there, that's nice Maggie."
Maggie: "You were thinking 'hello Maggie! don't you notice there's a something coming out of your WHOO HOO!'"
PS -Just goes to show you how different men and women think - I was talking about her being, you know, born, outta there and he's thinking of those moments DURING BIRTH

Burning the Candle **Updated
This week, I am totally confused. For a few months we've been on a regular schedule. Two naps. 9 and 2ish. We began Monday, waking up at 5:30am (that's RIGHT send sympathy) and taking naps from 7-10, 12-2:30, and 5-6:30. Every day since then has been total confusion. Well not exactly TOTAL confusion, but all of a sudden our morning nap has been shortened to 1 1/2 hours. And then, afternoon nap? . . . what's that? I don't want to take that! (Until I'm exhausted and sleep somewhere between 5-7)
You can't hold my baby like a "baby" and put her to sleep (you know cradled) and she will no longer relax her head on my shoulder and go to sleep (well, on the very rare occasion this still works). So for me this leaves nursing and . . . ?
At night if you leave her alone she will usually go to sleep . . . as long as she has her binky. So far this doesn't seem to work during the day.
Basically, what I am getting at is I HAVE NO IDEA what to do next. Is she trying to reset her nap schedule? If so, what is it already! Is this a sleep regression? And how HOW does she want to be put to bed? And someday SOMEDAY, SOON PLEASE I would like to get a decent nights rest. I got a nights rest at 2 months and 41/2 months. Miriam is 7 months on Saturday. I figure I am due another one ANY DAY.
I desperatly need to do some research on sleep methods. (Never mind that my doctor told me until she gains some more weight, when she wakes up and wants to nurse she needs to nurse. And she's almost up 1 pound in the last 3 weeks. We're doing better.) What have you ever done?
** As cute as can be and making my heart melt when I view her sleepy little self in a "C" shape on her side in her crib. Then she woke up every two hours last night. Seriously. Every. Two. Hours. Huh? So excuse me while I got back to bed during this morning nap.
