Before and After version 3

Before:
After (which is really just new carpet and our stuff is there):

Before: (You really can't tell how awful the paint and carpet were before, but they were nasty!)

Miriam's room just needs to have her ceiling light replaced (and some lingering tape removed).
Miri helped me put up a bunch of her Hello Kitty decals. She was so excited to help.

It's TRUE we still don't have real curtains in most of our rooms. But it's coming -someday.

Before and After version 2

Hey, this half of the kitchen was finally clean (the other half wasn't - but now it is!) And yes, those are dishes on the counter on account of the dishwasher not working properly. Bummer!
Dining room before:
Dining room now! (still have to do floor transitions and quarter rounds) ignore the sticking up underlayment

Bedroom before:

Bedroom after:
Just for good measure, the bathroom:
Outdoor and more before and after posts still to come!

Under Construction: Before and After version 1 - The Floor

Grimace!
Almost there!
Me - dancing on the new floor

The original entryway (I don't have a picture that shows how far we extended the wood. 8 feet I think!)
Bring it on!

Step 1

Step 2 almost complete - my husband is awesome!
Finished pictures are coming - when I clean out the entryway!

Second Draft Moving Checklist

A week and a half through my previous list and I am NOT dead (as I am sure you knew). We are very sore and tired though. We finished up the items on my previous list (and then some, we also painted our room and got new locks) This is my updated list for the week:

Continue to hide screwdrivers from Miss Independant, I swear she finds one EVERY DAY. And yet, she is still alive. Also supervise/stop the continual box climbing.

Unpack.

Chase people selling things off my doorstep. Yes I know the side of the house needs to be pressure washed and that we'll NEVER BE SAFE without ADT (sarcasm - see previous posts about burglaries - although we are in a much better area now). Maybe you haven't noticed the hundred boxes in my livingroom but I will not be thinking about that till LATER.

After payday I will then be prepared to buy my fire-extinguishers, transitions for the floor, shelf paper for the closet, shovel and rake and several other undetermined items for my yard. (Remember that beautiful YARD that I am pretty sure I've spent a grand total of 10 minutes in)

Thanks to Dad and Dede I can head out and do some curtain shopping this week. Thank you.

Hope that the HOA does not send me a list of "violations" for another month.

I've only posted twice in August and the second time I used a picture I've already used

But this is not a picture I've used:
That is the layout of our house. After a couple hours of Bill and Jeff (our realtor) measuring EVERYWHERE. Because of needing to decide on flooring. I was thinking - you know - fridge and curtain measurements. But oh yes, flooring. But look at what my husband did with all that information!
More house updates soon!
